Social Events

Conference attendees will have the opportunity to participate in a number of fun and exciting social events on Tuesday, June 2nd. Each event offers a unique opportunity to experience some of the culture and cuisine of Baltimore, Maryland while getting to mingle with a group of fellow attendees. Times are indicated in EST (Eastern Time Zone). Please note that participation in these events is optional and "at your own risk".

Tickets for social events can be purchased via Eventbrite at the bottom of this page. 

Note: Dine Around "tickets" facilitate capacity planning for each dining venue (there is no charge for these tickets); however, the cost of your meal will be on your own. 

Dine-Around Venues

Dine with a group of other attendees at one of several restaurants in Baltimore's Inner Harbor, Little Italy, Fell's Point, or Seton Hill districts.

Meet in hotel lobby at 5:30pm to travel to the restaurant with the group.
Restaurants not within walking distance may carpool, share a taxi, or use public transportation.

Open Apereo will be hosting Video Game Night on Monday, June 1 & Tuesday, June 2 from 8-11pm during the Hack-a-thon!

Xbox 360 Consoles with Kinect sensor and controllers will be provided and games will be projected on conference room screens...

We encourage you to bring your favorite games (“Just Dance” anyone?)

Mount Vernon Ghostwalk

Baltimore's Mount Vernon, the city's cultural center, may be more "spirited" than you think. Admire the architecture while tour guides regale you with the history and haunted lore of this striking neighborhood that was home to many of Baltimore's leading citizens. Hear about those who have never checked out of the Belvedere, a séance gone wrong, and more than one grand dame who still oversees the activities of her home. Join us to pull back the curtain and peer into the other side.

The Original Fells Point Haunted Pub Walk

Step through the doors of some of Fell's Point's most haunted pubs for this fascinating haunted pub crawl and tour of this historic maritime neighborhood. Even when it's freezing outside you'll stay toasty and warm our Haunted Pub walk tour! And if your arms break out into goosebumps, and the hair on your neck stands up, it may be because ghost sightings have happened right where you are sitting. Participants can choose to buy a drink, relax, and hear tales of that haunted tavern and ghost stories from nearby sites.

Wicked Brews Pub Tour

Seadog Inner Harbor Baltimore Speedboat Cruise
